Signup Now For No Cost Boat Electrical Checkup
Saturday, February 22, 2014
9:00am to 5pm
Al Hughes has graciously agreed to do a no-cost boat electrical system checkup for the first 25 boats (SLA getting preference). This checkup is for those of us looking for follow up from the recent Boat Electrical System seminar held recently at the CYC. We will likely ask for a donation for the food bank in lieu of any direct cost.
The checkup will cover a check of both ends of power cord, look at power panel(s), batteries, check bonding circuit(if present), check for unbalanced AC load (this is the same check that the POS personnel do).

Text Alerts for ShilsholePrepares Users
ShilsholePrepares has established a text-alert system for marina livaboards, moorage tenants, and other interested parties. Text messaging is the most reliable of the cell-phone messaging technologies and will likely be the last cell-phone technology operating in case of an area-wide disaster. We have set this system up to make it easy to give participants a heads-up of emergency or disaster activities at Shilshole.
We test the system every Monday at 1930hrs just before the Vessel Mutual Assistance Net (V-MAN) at 2000hrs. You must take action to be part of this by texting 98117 to 95643.
